Our guest this week is Chris Prynoski, founder of Titmouse--  a full service animation studio responsible for titles such as Adult Swim's Metalocalypse, Comedy Central's Moonbeam City, Fox's Son of Zorn, feature film Nerd Land, and virtual reality experience Smash Party. We talk with Chris about how he got his start making cartoons for classics like Daria and Beavis & Butthead, how he was involved in the development of the VR creator tool Tilt Brush, and his tenure as the first artist in residence in Google's Tilt Brush program. We also talk about how Chris sees VR creator tools evolving, get his insight into the future of content distribution, and find out what happens when an artist eats mushrooms and creates in virtual reality.

We chat with Karl Krantz (@karlkrantz), founder of the highly-influential body known as Silicon Valley Virtual Reality (@SVVRLIVE) which consists of monthly meetups, developer education, and the now-legendary SVVR expo. Founded in 2013, the SVVR expo is an annual event bringing together global VR developers, platforms, investors, hardware, and thought leaders across all verticals to collaborate and share in three intensive days of talks, panels, case studies, and cutting-edge tech demos. Karl tells us of the early days building this “Second Wave of Consumer VR” community with independent developers and forward-thinking enthusiasts, how the technology has accelerated in just a few short years, and what we can get excited about at this year’s SVVR Expo and in the VR/AR industry in general over the next few years - http://svvr.com/

We talk with Cosmo Scharf (@CosmoScharf), co-founder of VRLA (@vrlosangeles), about how the conference has grown over the past three years from a grassroots community-created meetup to the world's largest VR/AR expo. He highlights some incredible new technologies that will be showcased at the upcoming VRLA, and companies, hardware, and content to watch for on April 14-15 (and beyond!). Cosmo has had an intimate front-row seat to the growth of the industry over the last several years, and shares some great insights about the technology and its future as well as some predictions of what he's looking forward to seeing from the industry over the next couple of years - http:/www.virtualrealityla.com/

Based in Los Angeles, Next Art (@nextarttech) is a platform that bridges the gap between creative industries and enhances social experiences through art tech and community. We chat with Natalie Sun (@onattyso), the founder and creative director, about art and tech in general and art and virtual reality in particular. Natalie gives us details into how artists are using the technology behind a few outstanding large scale physical installations, and we also dig into how brands are working with creative art technologists to tell their stories in an experiential way. We discuss how the social factor at in-person events lends itself to cross-medium collaborations, and Natalie shares her perspective on the future of virtual creation - http://nextart.tech/

We chat with Sarah Hill (@SarahMidMO), CEO & Chief Storyteller of StoryUP Studios (@StoryUpStudios), about their focus on immersive content that aims to lift people up. Sarah views virtual reality through the concept of story as a verb-- one that can provide hope, affect change and shift brain wave patterns. Through StoryUP’s work helping veterans via the Honor Everywhere program which empowers World War II veterans who are unable to travel to virtually visit their memorials in Washington, D.C., they noticed a marked physical and emotional change in people during and after a VR journey. These observations led to partnering with neuroscientists to measure brain states with EEGs during VR experiences, pursuing frameworks to guide the development of media as alternative forms of therapy, and backing it all up with quantitative data - http://www.story-up.com/
